Christmas and New Year at Ilsington is all about rest, relaxation and plenty of good food. We don’t have non-stop entertainment yet there are events during your stay to add to the festivities and enhance the truly magical feeling of spending Christmas in a Country House Hotel

Monday 23 December
Arrive for a fireside Devonshire cream tea. In the evening join us for a welcome drink in the bar prior to a 3 course dinner.
Christmas Eve - Tuesday 24 December
Breakfast at your leisure. A bird of prey flying display by Dartmoor Hawking. 4-Course Dinner, John Hammond will entertain on the baby grand piano
Christmas Day - Wednesday 25 December
Breakfast followed by Father Christmas distributing gifts to those who have been well behaved throughout the year.
Traditional Christmas lunch is served in the restaurant followed by an afternoon of leisure; perhaps a walk on Dartmoor or more likely a traditional snooze after the Queen’s Speech.
In the evening take a leisurely buffet supper, if you still have the appetite, and afterwards be entertained by our magician Dave Merlin and his close- up wizardry.
Boxing Day - Thursday 26th December
After Breakfast, a leisurely morning with no planned activities.
In the afternoon guests are invited to attend the pantomime ‘Cinderella’ at the Princess Theatre in Torquay. We kindly ask guests to provide their own transport.
In the evening return to the hotel for a 4 course dinner
Friday 27 December
Wend your way home after breakfast or take advantage of our extra night rate and spend a leisurely day with us before travelling home on Saturday 28 December. Please see tariff for details.
