Beautiful Heathers in full colour.
The workshop starts on a Tuesday staying in the beautiful Ilsington Country House Hotel. (3 star) The Ilsington Country House Hotel is situated on the south east side of Dartmoor National park only five minutes drive from the famous Haytor rocks on Dartmoor. The hotel serves good quality food and on the Tuesday I will join you all for dinner in the restaurant at 8.00pm. On Wednesday I have arranged for you all to dine in the restaurant; (giving anyone who wishes an opportunity to relax and use the health suite before dinner, which is inclusive in the price). The leisure complex is well equipped with a sauna, steam room, spa pool and is an ideal haven of relaxation after a long day on the moors.
On Tuesday at 2.00pm we all meet in the lounge introducing ourselves and head off to the beautiful Saddle Tor area to do an afternoon / evening shoot. At this time of year the heathers are in full flower, from purples to bright yellows, we then head back to the hotel for Dinner.
On Wednesday morning after breakfast, around 8.30am I pick everyone up in my Landrover and we head to the Hound Tor area where we carry out a morning shoot. There are some stunning hawthorns and rowan trees, not to mention the beautiful granite rocky outcrops. Followed by lunch at the Old Inn at “Widecombe in the Moor” and back out to take in and capture a number of different areas, including, Combestone Tor and the Dartmoor ponies, finishing around 4 o clock.
Once back at the Ilsington Hotel I am more than happy to do a short appraisal of client’s photographic images, before dinner, so please bring along with you some photographs previously taken
On Thursday morning around 8.45am we head to one of the most magical ancient oak woodlands on Dartmoor, Wistman’s Wood, reported to be thousands of years old, in between the spooky woodlands lay amazing moss carpeted boulders. A wonderful opportunity to photograph something very unique. We then drive back to the IlsungtonHotel, finishing around 2 o clock.
The workshop costs £460 per person, (£400pp for two sharing) including single accommodation staying in a twin or double room, full English breakfast & 3 course dinner, tuition and 4x4 vehicle. 2 Nights / 3 Days
Not Included: lunches, insurance, drinks.
