Children
We welcome children at the hotel and feel that Dartmoor is an excellent place to bring them. There is plenty of open space for them to run off excess energy, Tors to climb and rugged terrain to explore. At the hotel we have tried to strike a balance so that there is plenty of enjoyment for both children and adults. The main attraction is our indoor heated swimming pool which is the ideal place for families to enjoy themselves. There are also board games, cards, puzzles and outdoor games, in addition to our 11 acres of garden. The local tennis courts and play area are 5 minutes walk from the hotel.
We have four Family Suites which comprise of a double bedded room with separate sitting room, sharing an en-suite bathroom. The sitting room can take up to 2 children (with either extra beds or cots).
- Up to two children under 16 years of age are accommodated free of charge on a Bed and Breakfast basis when sharing a room with two adults (subject to a suitable family room being available).
- Children under 16 years of age in their own room are charged at 75% of the full tariff.
- Children's meals are available in the lounge or bedroom, any children eating dinner in the restaurant must choose from the main menu and are charged accordingly (see under Dinner below). We have 'baby monitors' available should you wish to dine in the main Restaurant alone. Our Reception team are always happy to listen out for your child whilst you have a relaxing dinner.
